Hamlin EMS started as Hamlin Volunteer Ambulance in 1950 with funds from the Hamlin VFW. In 1975 Hamlin Volunteer Ambulance became incorporated. Hamlin Volunteer Ambulance operated separately until it merged with Central Orleans Volunteer Ambulance in 2018. On January 7th, 2020, Hamlin EMS began to provide Advanced Life Support services in addition to Basic Life Support services. Hamlin EMS also responded to an agency record of over 1,000 calls for service in 2021.
